Hey there,
Does anyone from Ontario know the law on tinted head and/ or tail lights? I could not find any information about it. All I could find was lots of information about tinted windows.
Thanks for any help
Jeff
uhh all i can remember is that tinted headlights dont pass safety and neither do eye lids. But then again I could be wrong on that. As far as law goes, Ron is most likely right, your gonna have to do some searching. I hope you find your answer.
Hey Jeff I know the law about tinted headlights and they are illiegal in ontario however headlight covers throughout the daytime hours nothing can be said and for the taillights I believe when the lights are on they have to be at least 45% visible so my suggestion is VHT has a line of taillight smoke paint its about twelve buck a can
Brandon is correct
Theres a bit more to it but this is the jist of it
Attachment that affects lamps prohibited
(7) No person shall drive upon a highway a motor vehicle if either or both of the lamps that are required on the front of the vehicle by subsections (1), (2) and (3),
(a) are coated or covered with a coloured material; or
(b) have been modified by the attachment to the lamps or the motor vehicle of any device that reduces the effective area of the lenses or the intensity of the beam of the lamps. 2002, c. 18, Sched. P, s. 19 (1).
Exception
(7.1) Clause (7) (a) does not apply if the lamps are of the prescribed type or meet the prescribed standards. 2002, c. 18, Sched. P, s. 19 (1).
Ron...
Reading that correctly that means you cannot:
-Shade your headlights or taillights
-Put Shaded covers over either
Both illegal. And rightly so.

-Turbocharged-
Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
