Cheap place to buy tire/rim in GTA
Tuesday, May 22, 2007 4:21 PM
I need one tire to act as a spare. Wondering a good place to get one that is cheap. what sizes should i be looking at that will fit my 04 cav perfectly. What would be a good price if I found a junkyard. Like $50 for the wheel/tire?
I go on long driving trips and it would make things a lot less stressful if I knew I had a fully functional tire\rim in the trunk in case.

thanks

try standard auto wreckers for the tire, they have rims too but if its just a steel rim, id try another yard. there rims are a little expensive. www.car-part.com is a good place to find the rim.

standard tire/rim wont fit in the stock tire well in the trunk, I would have done that too, except for that fact.

I will just leave it in the trunk. I only need it for when I go on far trips(3 times a year). Rest of the time I will have the small one in the trunk.

I went to cheap thrills on friday and they quoted me at $50 for the rim and tire. I'm gonna phone that place paradoks listed and if it's no better I will go back to cheap thrills. $50 seems reasonable to me.
