good deal or not?2002 Z Sedan

I found this car:

http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=62073&adid=5170535#

I really like it because it has low km, its in really good shape, ecotec, and its the sedan. But I don't if the price is justified since the car is 4 years old already. What do you guys think? What is it worth?

Ask them if they will replace the Front Valance included in the price.

all 2002 Z24's should have that front lip, most of the ones without prolly got broken or ripped off... my buddies 2002 Z24 on stock suspension and he broke his off twice already..

anyways its a very good deal... i'd pick that car up if i had the cash.. i think im gonna get a 2k2 Z24 sedan if i can find one when i got the cash...

^considering when one does show up for sale around here they want close to $15,000 for em... cheapest i saw one was $12,500 and that was only if you had a $2000 trade in, so in reailty the car was $14,500... so 12,000 is a pretty good deal...

Well I don't know about anyone else but if I got that car for 10k it would be a decent to deal to me.

Now heres where I'm kind of stumped: I have a 2001 Z24 with 100k fully loaded but i'm still owing like 5000-6000$ on it. Do I :

A) Trade it in
B) Keep my car wait till next year when i'm done school hoping that there will be another car like this with LOW KM, keep in mind I might get an 02 or 05
C) Keep the car, buy the other one, hope that my dad will buy my 01 from me or else sell it to someone else

Don't trade it in! you most likely will still end up owing on it still.

Try and sell it yourself if you do end up going with the other car.

So if you wait till next year and buy the car, would you keep this one?

12K... or even 10K... is not a good deal for a Cavalier.

LS1's never blow up;
Spray that puppy... 02 sensors are overrated.

well how much is a Cobalt SS sedan around 25k plus taxes, freight, etc? Now look at this 4 year old Cavalier Z24 with only 27k for 12k (can be negotiated) I don't have 25k to spend on a cobalt.

If I decide to keep my 01 for another year I'll probably trade it in or try selling it (hard to do, ive already had to do it twice), but either way i'll be looking for an 02 or 05 with low km.

I know my car is not a Z so can't compare 100%, but it's a 2001 blue 4 door, spoiler, A/C, power locks and trunk, keyless entry/alarm, automatic, 15" wheels, RDS CD and cassette) and all I got offered was $3500 (!!!) from more than one dealer last summer for it with 58K on it! They said no one wants them used. Just so you are prepared for what they might offer you on a trade!! I was pretty shocked! Needless to say I told them where to put their offers. I still owed 9K for the car at the time since we just bought it a few months prior.. Figured at the time might as well fish around when the deals were good!

if it's a 2002 you want, i need to get rid of mine. i'm even in bowmanville! i baby my car (always good to buy from a meticulous owner) but if it's a low km car you're after, it may now be for you. i'm approaching 230,000km. it's all easy highway kilometers and she runs like new. subtle modifications (koni yellows, eibach prokit, b&m short shift, hankook HRII's, etc) beautiful indigo blue. the front valence is off right now (broke) should be able to be repaired, i just haven't bothered.

hmmm.....i won't hijack this thread.....i think i should post something to get a sense of what people think i can get for it....i think i'll do that now.

If it helps you at all I just sold a 2002 z24 sedan with 140000 for 7000 taxes in , I bet you could get it for 10 500 plus taxes, which is still alot for a cavalier. If you want a cheaper one just let me know I can get you one.

REDZ where would you able to get me one from? Off lease from GM? Because I don't want to screwed over with a car thats been abused or in accident.
