Get your Turbo/Supercharger or Show Cars ready!!

Since the Detroit Auto show trip was pretty much a bust. I figured, what other good way to bring people together then the Woodward Dream Cruise. Its basically a day where you just cruise the street called "woodward". The actuall street goes from Detroit all the way up to Pontiac. You can either sit on the side of the road, or participate. Participation is free, but they do have cops ride the road as well. It takes place in August. I do understand that it is a LONG way away. But its just a head count.

Here is the actual site website

I do understand that nobody would want to shell out a money for a hotel. If you do, maybe we can get a group to get on in it. But ... if we dont, my apartment is always available

^ Called walkie-talkies Every group would probably have them haha. I've got one in my car, but the batts are dead

This cruise sounds a lot like the Hot Rod Power Tour or w/e it's called haha, but not nearly as far, since HRPT is like New York to LA. Hypsy has stickers on his car from it, apparently he was in the "Long Haul Gang" - about the whole trip.

I'll have to keep this in mind...

I spend the weekend at the last one. I don't think I will go back. There were to many people cruising in their every day cars. I have been told to actually go there the days before the weekend, Wednesday and Thursday, less traffic more show cars.

But I was there with my pro street V8 powered Chevy Astro, which kept getting hot, and there is nowhere to just pull off the road.
It probably would have been more fun with a vehicle that had air conditioning and wasn't such a pain to drive.

It is best to get a hotel room about 5 miles from Woodward Ave. Easier to get a room, not so crowded , and cheaper.

Come the weekend, you will not find a place to park along Woodward. People park their cars and days before.

Not trying to stop ya from going, just giving ya my opinion and advice

BIGBOOSTCAV21PSI: I kinda understand what you are talking about. But my gf and I were on 12 mile and Woodward, and there was not that crowded. People were doing burnouts. And a couple of people did burnouts, but they got into trouble by the cops. Yes, there is alot of newer cars, but it was still fun, eventhough the rain.
