yep its dead the face of the intake valve broke off and danced with the piston and head a little. cracked the block in 2 spots bent the rest of the valves in cylinder 2 (where it borke at) and im guessing came out the intake and went back in to the intake port of cylinder 1. anyways ill have pictures tonight

Buy an engine off ebay and rebuild it if need be. Seems like the most cost effective option.

thats crazy! what caused it all? i just kinda find it weird for that to happen to a newer car like that. especially the eco. since you have guys like hypsy running 15 psi on stock internals without a problem.

what kind of fuel do use ?You can laugh if you want, but i think Gm's idea of low grade fuel being used on the ecotec. I mean 9.5 to 10 compresion non premium fuel they have to be detonating. also 04eco you could try ATK engines might have a good price

some guy out there is running 15 psi on stock interals and with a mild cam your engine blew apart. i hate gms &*%$ing warrety. ow you add a windsheild sticker, the increase in drag caused you tranny to blow apart. sending prieces into the block. not covered. also you have 36,000.6 miles on your car.
they hate the cavys. if you had a vette or a trailblazer they would help you out.
my car was pulling a little bit, i wanted an alinment. but my car had 17,000 miles on it. the only do that up to 12,000 miles. and i worked at the dealership at the time. i blew a tire when i hit a curb. i think it would have been covered under warrety, but i hated those BF goodrich T/A sr-4 . i think. i bought some BF Goodrich traction T/A H's instead. just up front. outsides are weary a bit, but a much better tire. sorry about that rant. all car warrety's suck
