Well a local car club i frequent has the whole track from 8am to 9pm and for the low price of $40 you get to run the car as many times as you feel like you want to. the one year i got in a total of 20 runs and that was even with letting the car sit and cool down for a while. so the option is there if anyone wants to go. just let me know and i will pm you my number so that you can get a hold of me to meet up. also i am not positive but there may be a few $ charge to watch. not sure. there is so far 40+ cars ranging from camaro to firebird, to vette, to cavaliers, to mustang gt's so there is plenty of span of cars.
I know of a certain white/carbon fiber J that will be attending this.

i plan on meeting the caravan on its way by on 88 an leading the way. so far there are 40+ going. i think they are leaving around 6:15 from chicago so not sure when they are coming through here but i usually wait on the on ramp for them to come by. great bunch of guys. a lot of old friends and very nice people with some sick cars. usually a guy with the name Z8 shows up... figure that name out and yeah ZING lol
i would probably go but im helping a buddy install injectors, pulley and a tune on his cobalt near that naval base right over the border from me, near grayslake i believe

how did i not see this earlier? well fml but im goin to indy for a drift event. and the cav broke today or has been broke but idk whats wrong with it. clutch system issues, dont wanna deal with it.
i averaged 13.5-13.7 out of the 20 runs i made. with a 2.1 60' being my best. it was full exhaust, full trim, weighing in at 3000 with me in it i think it was. 6.5 lbs of boost was all. on bone stock motor
so not too bad.

i would have swapped but knowing how much time was left in the day to race til we had to move and how long it would take to swap. i didnt want to mess with it. not that i didnt want to run them. but also the other part is i like is knowing what it can do as if it were on the street as well. full trim, street tires.
and btw when i beat you, you were pulling on me hardcore at the end haha.
thanks again for saving the hood the best you could though. gotta get the underside re fiberglassed and the corners touched up the best they can and go from there...
vince-what happened to your hood? did you have the nasty wind too on saturday?

damn even with the hood pins? thats nuts. hey im sorry vince that sucks. hope its fixable or salvageable.
The car was stationary. Mine was sitting right next to it with the hood up. I was right by mine, then the gust of wind came and vince's took off. He was over at the stands when it happened. I put mine down and Travis and a bunch of us went over to Vince's to take it off before it got peeled the rest of the way back.
