ok so i have been getting harrassed by cops now for as long as i can remember....... get this i was supposably goin 96 down the interstate wit the kids in the car but got a warning??? how the @!#$ does that work??? if i really was i would have been arrested for child endangerment.... anywayz wat finally pushed me over the edge was yesterday.... so i was going to take the boys to forest park i went to turn in and all the sudden a state trooper is behind me pulling me over.... he gets up there im like wat the hell did i do and he was like u were going 39 through here i was like bull @!#$ i was...... then i give him my license and without even running it he opens my door and takes me out and says i have a felony warrant... well i know for damn sure i dont so he puts me in cuffs in front of my @!#$ kids i might add and wont even tell me wat the warrant is...... then about 5 or 6 other cops show up a couiple of them that no me personally and all the sudden his facial expression completely @!#$in changes cuz he knows he @!#$ up.... he goes well maybe my dispatch made a mistake i was like maybe u should stop harassing me and actually go run my @!#$in license so.... so one of the cops who knows me took my cuffs off and during all this my kids were in the car crying and they wouldnt even let me go over to them......... so finally he was like oh im sorry for the mess up but i still gotta give u a ticket for speeding then the lil prick tries to shake my @!#$ hand....... @!#$ that @!#$ im takin this @!#$ to @!#$in court im done wit all this harassment bull @!#$......... ok theres my rant thanks for listening peace out
Saying "What the hell did I do" never helps. though I drive through to st. louis every day without an issue...when i do get pulled over i am as nice as pie..if the cops are treating you bad..try getting a camera in your car

Maybe you should stop doing whatever it is that you are doing to get pulled over. Cops dont just pull people over for fun.

"something done to your car" can consititute that! I've been given a loud exhaust ticket as numerous lifted trucks with duals flew by. I sucked it up. The attention received from a modded car isn't always positive and you have to accept that. IMHO you assume that responsibility when driving such a car. Exhaust and tint were always issues I battled, but you know what? I knew they were illegal and assumed the risk.
I've also met one of my best friends back home whom is a local officer via my car. He pulled me to the side to ask where I had purchased the 18's on my 2001. A week later he had his wheels in from the same place, and asked me to assist in installing them. We've hung out since then. I even took him to get his windows tinted. Sides too, the bastard.
The intelligence displayed by the OP truly makes me agree with Ryan, and on a personal note with you Brad I think a lot of your issues with officers could be gone if you've dropped this attitude you have about them and softened up for a minute. I promise that they see that, and I'm figuring they play right back to you. Why? They can and you don't like it.

State troopers are not like regular cops. They are more for enforcing traffic laws (generating revenue) then anything else. I would bet money you probably were speeding. They run radar all the time and look for reasons to pull people over. I have been pulled over many times just for not having a front license plate. Everytime I have been pulled over for it it has been by a state trooper. I got pulled over once for not having a front plate and was told that if the cop were not writing me the front plate ticket he would have wrote me for a 73 in a 70. State troopers are a joke. The only reason they are there is for generating revenue under the disguise of enforcing the law.

I have got to set the record straight on this part. Brad was driving my car and we got pulled over for not having the front plate on (it was propped up in the front window) the cop asked about it and my tint wich IS legal and my VHT nightshaded tails. Brad was nothing but respectfull. It ended without any tickets just the state patrol being a litle nosy and running us both through the wringer. Anyway I just want to set record staight that Brad is no a dick to the cops anymore.

well i can agreee with brad in some point he i live in the small town of sgt bluff (not far from brad) and i was pulled over for going 36 in a 35 and going left of the center lane while turning a corner on a dirt road but two months later 3 cops were fired for harrasment

Absolutely I have, I modified it and knowingly made it illegal, why should I expect every police officer I see to turn the other way and not do their job just because its me. I considered myself lucky that I didn't get pulled over every time I passed a cop. Even know, I have no front plate and all the windows tinted on the Honda, I don't drive around expecting to never get pulled over, I'm just lucky I haven't yet.

hell you drove your silver car, with a driver seat. a passenger sitting on the floor, no headlights, no exhaust, and passed a cop when he pulled over haha. still surprised you didnt get @!#$ haha.
attitude determines a lot... that and well FF plates haha. cant say how many times that sparked up convo and got me out of a ticket. but at the same time its not a free pass, i have talked with the officer for a while and also got a ticket even though i had the plates. they have rules to follow too and if they just let them slide imagine what driving would be like,,,
i used to get pulled over almost every night when i drove my truck (v8 with open headers) was nice to the cops and never got a ticket for it...well except once but i deserved that

then by your own omission your one of those 'tools' you were talking about, yes? you do know that you were profiled, right? cops need something to pull you over for. they use the illegal things you have done to the car as the reasoning. thats profiling.
and joe- i AM respectful until they are not. usually thats about 30 seconds into the conversation after i explain to them why i placed my keys on my roof.

LOL you have no idea what profiling means do you? I'm posting from my phone so I'm not gonna copy and paste the diffinition from dictionary.com for you but profiling is like saying, there's a young kid in a sports car he's probobally up to no good, or saying there's a car with 4 mexicans they probobally don't have insurance.
Geting pulled over because you car is illegal is not profiling, that's law enforcement.
What DTP did was profiling, he looked at the thread and the screen name and assumed the OP was doing something stupid.
And I'm not one of the ricer tools that cries about being profiled. I'm one who mans up, admits my guilt, and faces the consiquences.
ok get this now......... jus went over to my buddy kevin and cassies house to let the kids play wit there kid.... got there parked turned car off cop pulls up behind me and turns its lights on..... comes up to me asks for my license and insurance i give it to him and ask wat i did he replies i jus need it..... comes back a minute later literally a minute no bull @!#$ ok heres ur license back u can go.... i ask wat he needed it for he jus says i jus did and walked away........ hmmmmm explain wat the hell i did that time???
or a saying a car thats got mods getting pulled over because it looks fast. thats not profiling i guess.
go ahead and 'man up' and face the consequences of getting a ticket because your car was modded if you want to but im a realist and live in the REAL world where cops pull you over because of the way the car has been built.

If it has illegal modifications they have every right to pull you over. That's like saying driving a stolen car is fine and nobody can do anything about it unless your speeding in the stolen car. If exhaust is illegal and you know it's illeal why would cry when you get pulled over and ticketed for having it?
there is nothing ilegal about my car lol the only thing i have is a cold air intake and 2 1/4 from the cat back exhaust anything ilegal there?
