The only place that is advertised in my town of bloomington/normal is ziebart. The guy there said he would tint all 5 windows and do black vinyl over the matrix and do a strip across the windshield for about $300. Does anyone in the central IL area know of someone who does tinting on the side and has experience? Thanks.

theres a nice shop in peoria called Wizard Window Tint and Auto accessories...
90 bux for the back 3 windows- as dark as you want.
They lifetime warranty their work- so if it comes out with air bubbles you can bring it back and they will fix it no questions asked. I tinted mine 18 months ago and it looks just as nice as that first day.
Mine came out to 115 bux, only because i did the tint strip on the front window as well. Very respectable place. Anyone from peoria usually gets their windows tinted there.
If you can spare the 30-45 minute drive from bloomington, its well worth it.

That is awesome. I found a place here the other day about the same price but they are booked for the next 3-4 weeks. Maybe I could get in sooner at this place. I want to get all 5 windows done and the strip on the front too. Did they do vinyl over the matrix on your car? Thanks.

Got in for next week and the price is right. They said that they almost always tint the matrix on the cavs and never have any problems. He said they do with some mustangs and other models though. Said the best idea is to get it done and if it does bubble, just come back and get the vinyl back there. Thanks for the suggestion about this place.

yeah just follow their instructions and you'll be cherry
use non ammoniated window cleaners for the inside surfaces from now on... ammonia will destroy tint. A good one to use i've found is either "Mothers" brand in a spray bottle, or "Invisible Glass" by "Stoner" In a Yellow/Black Aerosol can. I made the mistake of getting mine done in the middle of winter. The mistake i say, is that you aren't supposed to use your rear defroster for like 2 weeks to a month for it to cure... and i had ice constantly on that rear window so i had to drive to work half blind.
Very satisfied with their work. I bought this car like 18 months ago and it was the second mod i did to it after i transferred things from my wrecked car. The tint hasnt faded one bit. It doesnt look "purple" or "blue" or how most autozone tints look after a while. Very good investment.
Post pics when you get it done :-)
