yesterday i was driving and i came up to stop light and everything was fine and got home. start the car up, check engine light is on with the car starting up to 3000 rpm's and staying there. also with this problem, sometimes when i press on the gas it wont raise the rpm's at all, just stutters...

the code came up as p0122, which like you said was that throttle position sensor. now my dad said he replaced it. today i took it for a drive and it was fine for a bit. i upshifted into second gear and next thing you know the rpm's went off the chart again and the light came back on
Sounds like it could be a bad wire going to the sensor.
