I am about to install a Level Zero Upper Engine Mount.

Anything that I should be awair of when installing?

Any torque specs that should be applied when bolting on?

Where is the best spot to place a jack under my engine during installation (Ecotec)?

Thanks for any suggestions and tips guys.

Just use a piece of wood under the oil pan with a jack,Unbolt the stock mount from the body side only,Then just jack the motor a little bit to remove stress,Unbolt the mount from the motor,And bolt the new one in place,Tighten till bolts are tight,Remove jack and enjoy it..Best mount out there..

Also did you get the lower mount from him,And get some tranny mounts from prothan, really makes a big diff if you are doing motor mounts.

For the engine to mount bolts an impact wrench or impact driver will be helpful.

The instructions that came with my TTR mount say that new bolt need to be purchased. I went to my local bolt and screw and got two flanged bolt. The torque for the mount to engine is 96lb-ft + 45* the motor mount to body nuts are 49lb-ft. Just follow what Jason said. If you're looking to get transmission mounts look at TTR's, they don't have the holes like the prothane do.

thanks for the torque specs.
So the Stock bolts wont work? I guess you confused me a little. My mount came with some washers only, so I figured I would just use the stock bolts. Please correct me if I am wrong.

thanks.

Yeah TTR Tranny mounts are the best, as we dont put holes in ours... Ours are solid... The ones with "holes" allow the bushing to deform over time.

The stock bolts will work, you just need new ones since they are torque then stretched ( thats the +45*). They where to expensive at the dealer so I got mine from a hardware store, just make sure you buy flanged bolts.

You don't need new bolts,I have been on the stock bolts for 7 years with no issues, just bolt it up..

And get the prothan mounts, they are the best ones out there, and will not deform, been running them for 5 years with no issues.

how much extra interior vibe should I expect? I have been told that it can be unbearable by some and others dont seem to have any issues with it.
I think I will try the stock bolts for now and may change them out later.

Pics to come if you all even care

Thanks for all the help guys!

You will get some. You will get some more vibes when you do the lower mount. But this is why if you do the tranny mounts at the same time as the lower mount. They will not be as bad. And also when you do the tranny mounts you will notice improved shifting. As everthing will be nice and tight.

And don't worry about the motor mount bolts you will be fine with your stock ones.

Sure post up a pic. Always good to see a high quality motor mount.

For what new bolts cost I would replace them. Torque to yield bolts should never be reused.

Really don't rember seeing that in any books that they are torque to yeild bolts. So guess all of us reusing our motor mount bolts are screwed.

those bolts aren't TTY, mine have been in and out many times, still working just fine.

you can use it anywhere under the hood, try not get it on you exterior paint..

what I do is spray it on,let sit for 10 mins, then rinse, then respray and use a sponge or rag to wash down any bad spots, then respray with the castrol, and let sit for another 10,rinse,then if you have a air blower, blow off all standing water start car and let dry..
