ok so i have a 98 cavy with a 2.2 in it, never built a motor for it yet only changed the motor..... 3 times every time cooked the head gaskets right out of them because im a little hard on it in the rpm department , after much thinking i decided on instead of getting stock motor after stock motor miswell build one out fo the of the 4 motors i have or all of them , but i want to be able to bring her up to the 7000 rpm range and atleast 200hp, what do i need to change over all to be able to achieve my goal? like crank, cam piston wise, and head gasket wise? .... and are there any aftermarket water pumps out there the possible work a little better so i dont cook the head gasket out of this motor i want to build, thank you in advance and thanks for reading this
For 200 HP you will need either a turbo or laughing gas.
2010 Honda Fit LX
or , header, shaved head, shaved block, bore of .60 over, cam some head work and a good tune ?? turbos are over rated n/a is the way to go and if ya make big power you can actually brag about it , instead you go yeah i make 200 hp i have a turbo.... big deal anyone could bolt on a turbo and think there the @!#$, but really you dont have @!#$ all untill you spool it up , and ferr turbos you wont a lower compression motor = head aches and problems if not done right .... so n/a is the way to go dont have to worry about turbo bearings ect ect and rebuild the junk turbo ever 5000 kms , when i drive 5000 kms every month easy....
come on people 7000 rpm and 200hp or as close to it as possible n/a , willing to do head work , pistons cam, injectors , bore, anything pretty much , need advice all i need, dont want no turbo , jsut one more thing for my to break
You dont make power that high on LN2s and I really dont think anyone is making anything over 150hp N/A besides Bob Guptill but he has a heavily heavily modified race engine.
Is it possible? Probably with enough cash. Will it be streetable? probably not.
You really need to find out why you were blowing head gaskets. It is not just from reving it.
FU Tuning
I would love to see this as many others would. The only one I can think of is Bob Guptil's and his is carburated, with high compression, distributor, and an unstreetable cam. Many have attempted this and none have been successful to my knowledge. You will need to search on here about rocker arm conversions, lsx lifter springs, valve spring conversions etc. Madjack seems to have most of this knowledge down pat.

lets just say i like the redline a little to much ..... & no never ran dex cool in any of the 4 motors i swapped into it , all were changed to green, my last engine my water pump died and drove another 2 hours home and head gasket didnt hold up
and yes mad jack seems to know his ln2's quite well , i was planing on head work, bore, bigger injectors header and a good tune, and of course shaved head and block
