it sounds like i have an exhause leak when i step on my gas but when i stop and open up the hood it i cant hear nothing. it only seems too be when under a load. i have no ideas on what it could be.

anyone ever have this?

how old is your catalytic converter, it could just falling apart on the inside and when you give it gas it's stirring up all the crap inside of it but not blowing it out of the exhaust itself, happened to a golf i had, just took it off, dumped it out, and put it back on

it sounds like its coming from around the engine bay.

not sure if this is it but would something like my meth kit be dumping meth into my engine and it pooling be a cause of this?

What type of joint between header and downpipe?

If it a ball and socket, try making sure its tight. The motor could be moving slightly under acceleration just enought to cause a leak, at idle the motor would be static so it wouldnt be leaking.

even when i have the hood up and move the throttle cable with my hand it doesnt do it.

another thing i noticed was that just the intake part of my sc is cool from the meth kit i have, i know the whole thing should be cool. what would cause this? maybe some of the sc'd guys could chime in here. i bout the kit from a guy with a cobalt and he had to hook into his tmap signal sensor wire so i did the same. could this be not working?

nobody around my area is familiar with sc setups as well as meth kits so im at a loss here. it still has the power but just has that aweful sound

Spraying meth before the sc? doesnt that eat the rotors? I'd think the meth would cool the intake charge more if it was sprayed just after the blower.

This would me my guess.

The motor doesnt have a load on it when the wheels are not moving. With the car in gear and rolling, there is a load on it so as DSM said, it is probably the ball joint area opening up. If you have a pacesetter header, the springs should be fully compressed at all times to be all the way tight.

I don't think meth pooling would cause that issue. Also, about the whole thing being cool to the touch, I highy doubt that. I can understand the snout being cool, becuase the meth/ait mixture hasnt been compressed yet, but when the air compresses it will heat up. This will cause the body of the charger to be hot. Someone correct me if im wrong.

well come to find out going down the highway decide to go WOT, and then all of a sudden BAM connection from header to rest of exhaust came apart. so im assuming that was what the sounds was.

as for the meth i was jsut surious is all.
