Ok guys here is my plan. i want to rebuild my 2200 and im niot sure what i want to go on just motor or turbo/supercharger kit any ideas. or what should i do. i want to keep the same type of engine (2200) cause i already have a few things done to it and dont want to start over with it. i.e. header, engine mounts, intake and so on. what your ideas?????
turbo!! there aren't really any SC's made for the LN2, so the average vote is to turbo the thing. with your version, you also have the chance to get a pre-made turbo header for your car too. making things easier in the long run.
good to see more support for the LN2 also.
yeah im a big fan of workin wit what ya got. too much screwin around to put toher stuff in. i.e. a 3.8 lol
get a good set of rods & pistons for it, stiffer valve springs, as well as a crank scraper and/or having the crank knife edged & balanced. you do this & you engine should be able to take a good deal of boost-but you will also need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator & a tune or eventually your motor will give.
dude if your interested in going turbo I have basically an entire turbo kit, minus the IC piping and wastegate. Let me know if you are interested in the stuff. I can post up picks for everything. I just got rid of my car so I would give you a hell of a deal on all this stuff if you wanted.
Here is a list:
Turbo(badass one, it was 400 brand new)
BOV
intercooler
manifold
Turbo gasket
oil filter sandwhich with a feed line for the turbo
Cometic Head Gasket
and a couple of other misc. stuff
yeah but it will be a bit of time before i get it started... but do anyone know what power ya can make on just motor wit these engines ????
if u invest about 3 grand into just the motor u can hit around 200+ at the wheels with very little machine work
if it start the next day it can be driven harder
"if it starts " well that dont seem very good lol ..... ok guys thanks thats what i was wondering. so for parts i know of jbp but where else can i get them ????
IDK about JBP...
Apparently there are some issues with them.
really whats the matter wit them ????
they dont have a good rep. most of my parts came from IPP, and other than a couple errors that they corrected...i have no problems with them.
IPP ???? never heard of them before.
john, what is your setup putting down for power?
