Getting license soon. Job=income. I have money set aside for a year of insurance and around $1000 in gas money. All money I earn is for my hobbies now.
Everything is stock right now. I love tinkering so upgrading and tuning my car is an intriguing concept to me. I have the brains for it so now I just need a good start on where to attain the knowledge.
Looking for a few things:
More throttle response (New exhaust and a free flowing intake should help, but what else?)
More power.
I want it to sound good. Not that fart in a fishbowl $30 muffler good either. Now, where should I start? Anyone on here with the same vehicle? (2003 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sport automatic coupe)
I also need a new driver's seat so new seats are in order.
So:
Intake
Exhaust
Cams?
Head porting maybe. Seems to be an easy addition of power as long as you can handle a dremel.
I'm looking to make my own intake and exhaust from this site.

Thanks in advance.
