anyone know any updates about the howell springs they were thinkin about doing for the 2200 engine?
It won't happen, there's no demand. Why do you need aftermarket springs?

Seems like there's only a handful of people doing anything with the poor OHV engine, and with the 2.2 / 2200 differences it splits the demand among even more parts.
Hmmm... anyone here know of any good projects going on in the S10 world? I know the lowly OHV engine is showing up more and more in roundy round car events but most of those engines have to remain close to stock.

just seeing if theres any available for a possible crazy na build with a radical cam
It's me again...
Slow, I've heard your question and the only info I have is on my own. I want to do the narrow-body rocker mod but don't know what all I'll need. This will be in conjunction with the stock cam. Reason? When I was young an uncle had a '72 3/4-ton G-series chevy Sportsvan w/ Energizer cam & Holley Economaster carb added to the 4-bolt 5.7L V-8, nothing else. The result was a single-pipe van that more than got out of it's own way, and easily made way for others! Got good mileage to boot. Anyway, I figure if I up the lift with the stock cam, my low-end will increase just enough to do the same. Maybe with less pedal. Also, thoughts of putting the underloved LN2 in a GM T-body have run through my mind lately. Hey, the chassis is rally proven, it's suspension design is used in the front of the '84-'87 Fiero & the rear of the '82-'92 F-body, it's RWD, it used the T-5 from the S&T-series trucks, and it weighs only 2125lbs. I've heard stories of beemer-beating glory from other drivers on track "driver-instruction" day, have personally lost a state trooper in one, and have literally drove the same base-model issue up a wall and off a cliff with no ill-effects. So, with this engine and car combo, and the right gear out-back, doesn't this sound like an low-cost, efficient ego-crushing joyride?
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
Oh yeah, there are also tons of odd brake, chassis & suspension mods that have been & can be done successfully done on various enthusiast web sights out there. Look and see!
