No it will not bolt up. You need alot more than just a motor LOTS!!
FU Tuning
ok so it won't bolt up,
But *WHAT* will be needed?
tranny, ECU, new upper mount, what else??
Help...not just a bunch of "nope sorry" that doesn't help.
Thanks!

Matt,
find a "donor car." You have no idea how much stuff you'll need until you actually need it, especially if this is your first swap. Best bet is to have the car the engine came out of for parts.
-->Slow
not to be a dick,
but the only thing in common between his car and one w/ an ecotec is the shell.
to put a ecotec in his car, is pretty much you need everyhting from a 2003-2005 cavalier and some 2002's
and i mean everything, every lil sensor, every module, everything. you will need all the wiring (ALL). you will need all the modules (pcm, ebtcm, evap, gas tank, fuel pump, canister EVERYTHING)
the easiset way is to go to an auction and buy a 1500-2500 dollar donor car that has been wrecked in the BACk, Not the front.
Also you will need to weld new brackets for the trans if you plan on going 5 speed.
Look into spening in upwards of 1500 bucks, even more depending on where you get the parts.
if money is an issue, then jsut put another egine back into the car, same engine.
