Replacing 2.4
Monday, November 06, 2006 3:29 PM
Well, Oil Pump went and my motor is basically junk........I just need to know what anyone suggests while I have the motor out. I am replacing my current one (est. 116,000) with a 90,000 motor. I am going to replace the water pump, put a ported and polished head on, and was just curious of any suggestions. Thank for all the help.

You can afford putting a ported head but not do the oil pump swap?

you'll have to spend some money at the machine shop...but not too bad really...look into it. look into some secret cams too while you got it apart...timing chain tensioner isn't a bad idea...otherwise just have fun with it
