Could anyone give me a step by step or how to on installing an inline fuel pump on my 03 cavalier? I know a couple people on the forums have it done, but i cant find any posts that have instructions. And yes, i have searched.

Also, will i still need to have a fully operational stock pump in the tank? My OEM one crapped on me today, 3 years and 67000 miles....

If you use an inline pump when the factory is bad, then your rolling the dice. The design of these pumps is not set for flow-through when they go bad. Therefore, if your pump went bad and stopped in a certain position, it will not flow fuel. Also keep in mind, that a lot of high performance inline pumps require a feeder pump....aka your stock pump. ALSO keep in mind that since the factory pump isnt a flow-through, that that hp inline pump may pull too hard on the stock pump and cause it to overheat and go bad.

Nest bet is too either get an inline pump that doesnt require a feeder and install a standard pumpless pickup in place of the stock fuel pump, or do the upgrade listed in the faq section, replace the factory pump with a better one.

oh so the blazer conversion DOES work for ecotec jbodies? i was wondering that because i wasnt sure if the blazer had a returning fuel system or a returnless. My 03/04 cavi has a return system

all of the 3rd gen jbodies have a return system, actually 90% percent of Fuel Injected vehicles have a return system.

I hope it freaking works! Thats what I plan on replacing my pump with.

It's not a direct replacement. but it can be easily made to fit.

Never listen to ANYONE at autozone!!!
