Wondering if anyone would be interested in renting a .030 over torque plate for an LD9. for those of you that don't know what this is it is a plate that should be torqued to the block during boring and honing procedures. It prevents block fluctuations during the process that would result in a bore that isn't exactly true. Every machine shop out there would highly recommend this be used but alot of them (as I found out) don't own one for the 2.4. If your planning machine work and your shop of choice doesn't own a torque plate here is a great way to get it done right without having to buy your own.
A good machine shop can make their own.
Or they have one that pretty much covers all motors.
but, yep, never get a bore done without a torque plate, it makes life so much nicer.
I have one in my garage..... was barrowed from a member of Quad4forums..... just hasnt been passed along to the next guy yet.
