Nice, plain and simple.... my girl's 96 cavi just died.... and my bodywork project/nightmare of a 98 sunfire isnt exactly going anywhere any time soon. I was wondering if i could swap the 2200 thats in my 98 sunfire into her cav. they are both 2.2L but I was unsure what changes GM had made in the newer style of motor.
Please get back to me soon on this one... its her only car!

Yes, but you will probably need the engine wiring harness and the pcm. Atleast you will need the fuel injector harness and I'm not sure if the fuel line fittings and return lines are the same or not.

Correction, 98 is when they made changes.
Like Jack said, you'll need at least the fuel injector harness, ECU, fuel lines, coolant lines, and it would probably be a good idea to swap the rest of the harness too (I'm sure GM changed connectors here and there.

Well guys... looks like i kinda have no choice.... i guess i'll just pull it out and see whats what. if push comes to chove, i'll just toss in the MSnS that i have waiting to go into my turbo probe
