I'd like to upgrade the tiny TB thats on my LD9, but dont know which years to get etc I need to get. I want to retain my cruise control as well. I've tried searching here, and Quad4forums as well, but cant get a definitve answer with some guidance. Pics would be nice too. Thanks!
You want a larger 2.4L tb?
I'll have the RSM 62mm (60.?) tb for sale shortly.
Or did you have the HO mani swap and wanted a 2.3L TB with the cc option?

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
I want the 56mm 2.3L TB to fit my 2.4L. I have cc now, and want to retain that ability. I wasnt sure which Quad 4 TB i needed to get in order to do that.60 and 62mm are way too big for the tiny about of mods i have now.
search a little more and you'll find it. you have to get a bracket off a 95

you'll have to find a 95 z24 with the 2.3, the sunfire didn't come out till 96 and only had the 2.4 and 2.2

The Sunfire came out an 95. So a 95 Z24 or GT TB would work then. Thats good to hear. I assume the hole needs enlarged for the 2.4 Intake Mani, and the arm modified too or no?
Need an edit button! I meant does the hole for the cable needs to be enlarged still, and the arm modified?
No the sunfire came out in 96 and ONLY with the 2.4 and 2.2, never a 2.3L

what i did is use a 93 TB bracket that had cruise (this is what i found so..) and cut the scare part of my 2.4 bracket where cruise attached, drilled 2 holes on this peice and on the 2.3 bracket to bolts the 2.4 peice on the 2.3 bracket!
dunno if its clear enough...lol!!!

Tell that to this guy
I'm gonna sound like an ass.. but do a members search for 95 sunfire gt and tell all those people their cars don't exist. Earlier you told this guy to search, might want to practice what you preach. Anyways, you had me questioning it myself so I wasn't 100% sure until I searched.

No modification of anything, only thing you might have to do is secure the cruise control cable somehow in the hole it goes through, some people do that, i didn't do it and no problems, but it wouldn't hurt.

you can not use the 2.3 tb on the 2.4 intake , the throttle wheel hits the intake
you can if your lucky take the shaft from 2.3 out and put the 2.4 shaft into the 2.3 tb
there was a post with a how too some where

Was a little worried about having to do that. If it works, and retains my CC, then im up for it. I knew i had to modifiy the 2.3's TB, can't i trim the wheel?
Sorry, I just assumed you were using the HO manifold as well, didn't read your first post right, so anything I've said about no modifying was pertaining to installing the tb on an HO manifold.

Anyone know? Also is there a better place to find one other than Car-part.com, or anyone know the GM PN?
The easiest thing for you to do is to go get a TB off of a 2.3. It doesn't have to be an HO, they are all the same size. Bring that, and your stocker to a machine shop and tell them you want to bore the smaller tb and install the bigger throttle plate. Should only cost you a couple of hours labor. Then you can reinstall your now 4mm bigger stock tb. You will have cruise and everything else.
