.........Simply put, a performance computer for the ECOTEC's ???
OK the story goes a little like this :
somewhere in the grapevine a little birdie told me, that there is this really niffty ECM, or computer for our motors, that has been chipped, and is tunnable..............
I said NO-WAY......... not possible.........
but the response that i got back, was YES, it's true, and is avaiable.......
So, after BS'n for a bit, my understanding from this is that suposedly, someone out there decided to tinker with the factory board, changed a few thngs around, made it to a tunnable state, and a couple of other goodies, that i will not mention..............
( am i being slightly vauge ? YES !! I'm just trying to protect the innocent, at least until i see this miracle for myself and try it out )

there is no such thing as a chipped ecotec computer. the closest thing will be the HPT stuff

there IS a unit that is out right now that is LIKE the HPT stuff. It is not a chipped board but a completely different Delphi computer that is set up to tune. I cant remember the company off hand but I heard about this during SEMA. Supposedly it doesn't have a whole lot of adjustability but is a good start...from what my SEMA going contacts tell me.

If you know about it, what are the extents of tunning it ? and is it worth it ?

GM uses a full standalone system in their cars. Not a hacked up ECU. That right there tells me this guy is feeding lines to get you to buy.
