Well...why would you want a motor that's already bad?

Eh, sounds like a waste of space if you do take it...

yea in the Buick's they had a 3.3
3.3 is basically a smaller 3.8L, not as strong in the lower end, but bulletproof on the topend. When they first came out, they made more power than the 3.8L. but they were short lived motors, like 3-4 years.
I've read you can take a 3.3L top end and mate it to a 3.8L bottom end and have a bulletproof motor that makes a pretty good amount of power. I don't know if this is true or not.

Well..... smoke is a sigh of head cracking or head gasket in bad... needs to be looked at and replaced. or try a can of k&w block seal. worked for me..
well the prob with this 3.3 is a blown intake gasket.
The 2.3 motor was one of the best engines GM ever built. Take a walk throughany junk yard, I have seen them with 300+K on them and still run. My friend has one with 230K and runs great. Get on ebay get a gasket kit (40$) do all the gaskets on the motor while it is out of the car. Try that, should be a quick car.
