Ryan
u only need to put enough force to hold the engine in place, it doesnt take that much, i wouldnt worry about using the oil pan.
this is my sig
ok i was worried cuz of the biger engine so the jack shouldent crack the oil pan correct?
Ryan
put a block of wood under it. the wood will help disperse the force.
I didn't jack my engine up to do it.
eather way i just done lol the bolts are a pain to get back in place haha
Ryan
i never used a jack when i put my mounts in
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
It doesnt matter, the pan can hold a lot of weight. When they pull motors you sit it on the oil pan anyways, wont hurt it as long as you dont jack the whole car up.

yes, use some wood a nice square of wood will cushion it and disperse the pressure over the oil pan instead of one concentated spot.
I was thinking what NJHK was saything, the upper doesnt require any removal in installing the mount insert, just lube it up, and put it in..
