HO manifold swap Bolts.

after researching my butt off before taking this project on and reading the URWEAK tech write up a million times..it mentions something about parts needed and it says:

5 M8x1.25 45mm bolts
2 M8x1.25 60mm studs

does this mean i cant use the one originally on my car? and if so would something like autozone be my best bet in finding these sizes?

also.. do you have any idea on how hot this manifold gets with the Phelonic (something like that) adaptor (which is on the way) because i'll be painting it and i hope the paint i bought will hold. (1200 degree)

MMMM..tasty

thanks

If you're going to use the spacer, then you will want to get 45-50mm bolts at least.
If not, you can use factory bolts. Their 40 mm I think.
And you can get the bolts from where ever. Best place would be a hardware store actually.

Not sure how hot things get, but you can paint the manifold whatever color.
When you'r on the move the air rushing through the hood keps temps down.
I've even painted my vynil plastic color paint before.

Have fun,

Ya you need difrent bolts with that spacer I just took the original ones of the car like 5 mins ago i bought the 45mm but i think i need longer like 50mm but if i were u i would get 45mm and 50mm to be safe. I also panted mine with high heat paint 500 degree so hope it dosen't get that hot either but it shouldn't.

Yea, you need longer bolts for the swap if you are using the flange. All i did was add 1/2 inch to the stock bolt size and came up with that size.

Also about he paint, you will be fine, i spray painted my manifold and its fine, before i had the spacer, the manifold would get kinda hot but the paint still was fine, then after i got the flange the manifold is cool to the touch even after driving for long periods of time.

just remember some of those bolts will replace studs so make sure you take those studs out. it should be cake.
