The price isn't too bad as long as shipping is included. I'd say buy 'em and find out.
Good luck.

I have asked this question numerous times. Apparently either no one on here has them, or whoever does have them doesn't post. I'm most likely going to be buying these over the winter though.

Check Comp Cams and Crower as well---they have recently released cams for the ECO.

I have them. They are OK, but they are very mild. The price is good though. No codes which is a plus. I think they are the same specs as the JBP cams. I could be wrong though.

Cams will respond differently to each motor.

Think of the cams as the Boss of the engine. How ever its ground is how the engine will perform. Look at NASCAR for example take out there big nasty solid roller cams slap in a stock 350 Chevy cam and WALA The NASCAR is as dosile as grandmas buick. But along with your cam/ cams your gonna need the correct parts to support it.
A header is a must so is full exhaust as free flowing as possible. You'll also prob need
a new throttle body and its not a bad idea to port the intack as well. These big new cams are gonna be hungry for air and if you don't feed them then they will not make anymore power. Do the intack, throttle body, a high flow intake such as INJEN or any other you may want, a GOOD header( doesn't need to be expensive just good ) , high flow cat, I'd say go with 3 inch diameter cat and 2 1/2 pipeing and a high flow muffler.

Cams all by themselves do make a difference but if you want to see big gains you need to support them properly. Do everything that can be done and put in your new cams I'd
be very surprised if you didn't pick up 15 - 20hp.

both had major ecu problems due to check engine codes. the cams that had were ALOT more aggressive then the comp cams. your probley only looking at like 7whp from them. if phil didnt have any ecu problems, those colt cams would be good to close to 20.. btw he was still making power with those cams at 6500..

I couldn't get the LZM cams to work without problems either. I still have mine just sitting around.

I've had Cranes cam's in for about 6 months now with no problems or DTC's. Does have a mild lope(but sounds deep and slow coming outta two Dragunfire mufflers I Love It). Car just feels a bit lighter and quicker all through the powerband, and my power doesn't "plain off" right before redline anymore either, keeps pulling. Other then that, it seems like the computer is trying to compensate for the added air and is dumping a lot of fuel and that's with a WeaponR header, 2 1/4"exhaust w/ Catco cat and mechanical o2 simulator(awesome mod), RSM intake/62mm TB combo, port matched Intake Manifold, RSM lightened Crank pulley. Dang rich runnin Ecos.
I'm thinking of getting some type of fuel piggyback like the SAFC to pull a little fuel until something like HPTuners or Shifted gets his stuff out.
Oh Yeah..Howells service sucked (lost my order somehow, isn't gonna happen to everyone though) They said it was Crane's fault for setting them aside.
Hope this helps as some type of feedback on having these cams.

I currently have an SAFC on my ecotec and even though I wasn't throwing any "too rich" codes, I was running rich and needed to tune it down (which is what you more than likely need to do).

I think the reason they didn't catch on like the JBP cams did was because they are a mild camshaft and really, there wasn't any gain #s that most people look for & JBP is more J-Body oriented so people caught on to them quicker.

Damn bro...that's sad. I'm so glad I got my JBP Stage 1 cams before that GP even started. I would either throw them out or sell them to some sucker on ebay (which I'm not sure if I would want to mess up a fellow j-body owners motor or not LOL).

Very well put.

I would like to add that cams will only bring as much airflow as your head will allow, so a ported & polished head with be highly suggested for some bigger gains, faster rev and could also shift your powerband even higher with the support of cams.

With our cars, that's true. Our ECUs are so stuck on having 1 specific job that when a modification comes it's saying "No No...Go Back!" LOL. I bet if we could get some way to change parameters on our ECUs and adjust fuel & ignition timing, we would have more gains and less issues but also realize we drive economy cars and not "race cars".
