Ladies and gentlemen I finally got around to doing it,
took me about 4 hours to get the thing in with no problems.
Drove it around and it idles around 700-800rpm's which is nice.
I noticed something though...
There is some thin white smoke coming out of... somewhere.
I'm guessing I overdid it on the carb cleaner or something. Nothing seems to be burning or anything it's just a thin white smoke. Anyone know what this could be or is this something I should learn to live with?
I figure if it was coming from the manifold itself I'd have a vacuum leak and I'd have a crazy idle.

Yes I did ^^^^
I'll take a picture of it as soon as I can.
used a little african engineering because a grounding stud blocked the manifold from being set firmly on the ports so I moved a few grounds.
I just got home again from a freeway test. Seems to work just fine. Everything works. AC works.

my one issue with the spacer though
That bolt on the alternator is Impossible to remove once you have the manifold all set and done.
well not impossible. but not easy. not in the least. I'll take pictures of that too.

Deep socket 15mm takes care of that alt bolt no problem.
But yeah, I may grind mine off.
But good deal on the set up.
Need to hurry up on mine.

ill most likely be doing mine this weekend
i gotta figure out what to do for the intake piping , not sure if i want to move the battery or what yet
If you can move it, go for it.
It would save headaches and open up more options down the line.
And free up some weight in the portion of the engine bay.
I would love to relocate my battery but I know it will never happen.

no space to get that socket in.
the spacer puts the manifold almost above that bolt. believe me I've tried. there's no way to get a socket in there.

Oh well,
Just gonna have to trim the top portion of the bolt.
Take it to a hardware shop or something if you can, let them do it shouldn't cost anything.

Hey chris
Well I need to make a better intake for it. I've got a rubber tube thing sitting on it right now and it's right above the radiator hose = BAD
but overall it sounds like a mean SOB. if I stomp down on the gas it sounds like the car is about to take off.
I've done a few launches with it and I don't seem to notice a loss of too much low end. I can still squeek my tires at takeoff and squeek them in second. but top end feels much more powerful.
It all works out.
it's been 2 days already and no CEL codes and no akward noises or sounds. I think it's ready.
Tomorrow I'm taking the thing on a trip to Reno Nevada. 162 miles one way so about 324 miles. and that's if I turn around and come back. Not counting stop and go traffic and such. This'll be the one to push it to the limits.
