04 Dual exhaust??
Saturday, June 04, 2005 11:56 PM
Just a question, does the older style cavy/sunfires dual exhaust fit the 04 cav?? Im thinking of a stock exhaust with camaro type flat tips for the Rk sport kit rear lip.

if you mean the dual exhaust of a 3rd gen sunfire, yes it will fit. but i believe that you will need a hanger for the other side to hang it properly, other than that it should bolt right up without any dificulties

It should fit. Pretty much most things on a 3rd gen j-body will fit. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to just put the stock exhaust system on?

Whats the point of fake dual exhaust on an inline 4 banger? Its not really dual exhaust coming from one exhaust manifold.

It really has no use on a 4 cyl. Though on my car a single muffler or tip just wouldn't look right in my opinion.

i got the camaro tips, it is questionable about the stock systems, an 02+ ecotec should fit, but since the exhaust is on the back of the motor and the older ons are in the front. the manifold

Not everyone is into performance. Alot of people are into looks and dual outlets look nice on some cars and alot of cars come with dual outlets setups...you should keep that in mind.

Agreed. My car came stock with dual outlets and decided to keep that look and I've seen the 03+ bodies with a single outlet and it just doesn't look right to me.

Ok sorry, havent been able to post in a few days the reason I ask about this is because I have an 04 Cavalier and am going with the Rk sport ground effects like this pic, shows the rear. I need dual exhaust with flat tips to make it work nicely. I may lose a lil bit of torque but its ok.. Im more into sporty look nothing out rageous although I like some of the stuff out there looks good but its just not for me. So i want simple and sporty, but most of the after market exhaust out there is to LOUD and sounds like dying ducks lol. So I want factory dual exhaust. But thanks for all your openions they help out alot guys.
Sorry the pic is big

if its factory piping your not going to lose any torque and as long as you stay under 2.25 pipe you wont either, that is a nice kit though if I had an 03 id go with it

I know this is a little off topic but aren't the tires on this car the wrong way. Should the thread be going the other way?
