I was wondering what size of a filter fits on there?

also should i change the filter and if so what filter would be best there is a ractive intake that has a heat shield and also some junky looking ones on Ebay but would a K&N cone be better than the Weapon R one? or injen or AEM or somthin else?
I had a weapon R intake.... make usure you have motor mount cause when the engine moves it will hit the hood, didn't damage mine but dented my buddies

doesnt really matter... just shoot for a clean guaze filter... not really gonna notice any difference besides in your mind...
is the weapon R one junky or should i save the cash and not change the filter?
weapon R usually has the sponge type filter which is no good, just go to pep boys and pick up a cheap APC cone fiilter, it will do just fine

I dont' know darkstars I have run quite a few tests on the new SW cone vs the K&N cone and I found the SW one actually can draw more air through it than the K&N. But if I where you I would have saved up for the entire Secret Weapon intake. It's so much better than the dragon in my opinion. I've isntalled in on about 4 cars now and it makes a huge difference in sound and power gain. I think the only car I own that doesn't have it is my silver one but that's because I'm not sure if I want to mod the motor yet. I'm having to much fun with audio.

also due to foam being so porous, when dirt gets lodged in there, it never really comes back out.
another thing to add is just because it *CAN* flow more air doesn't mean its better, if you want it to flow more air get one of the 6 inch long cones, more surface area = more ability to flow air but in all likelyness the car will NEVER see the point where it flows so much air that the air filter is whats choking it up, any gaugze cone filter with flow more then enough air to feed the engine
i really wouldn't suggest getting the head shield ractive filter. There is only a screen as the filter and its not very efficient in stopping dirt and stuff. When i pulled my intake pipe off the inside was all dirty.
if you want a heat sheild make one or try the 3A racing one from pep boys... quality guaze filter...
