i am installing a header cat and resonator to my 01 2200, i got the magnaflow cat 2 1\4 and header, but i want to know how long the factory cat is so i can get flanges welded to my new cat so it will bolt right up. thanks in advance

install header, header bolts to b pipe. b pipe bolts to cat. cat bolts to catback. if you got the right cat everything should fit up correctly without any new flanges welded in. your cat SHOULD have came with the flanges necessary.

its the 94035 cat it doesnt come w/ flanges so it needs to be welded in to my exaust sytem. and i dont fell like driving to a shop w/ open header.

um the 53035 cat is the one you need, for 2.25". the 49035 is 3 inches longer and the oval is wider as well.

94035 is what i use. being its larger, works better with aftermarket stuff like headers.

http://www.car-sound.com/catalog/universal/530.aspx 53035 DOESNT come with a flange, but comes with the same thing as 94035.

53035 is a universal cat, hence the reason it doesnt come with a flange.

94035 fits, even with a 30 inch resonator. and the fact its wider and oval, more ground clearance

knightrider....clamp it then go and get it welded.

then take the cat to an exhaust shop and have them weld flanges onto it, then bolt it up.

either that above suggested or cut off the flange. simple. easy to do.
