nothing on a stock PCM.

the box controlls a thing called pulse width, basically it controlls how long the injector is open. you can have 80psi with no gain, the reason is because the box will be striving for the stoichiometric window 14.5 - 15:1. resons for that are just enough fuel for decent economy, lower NOx, CO, HC. allows the cat to do a better job.

you will gain power by dumping more fuel but only to a limit, 12.5 : 1 is about it. the 14.7:1 is only for emmissions, and is only the case in closed loop. during WOT you will more than likely gain a few ponies since the mix goes rich. if anyone doesn't believe me - hook a voltmeter up to their oxygen sensor and punch it, getting 800mv is normal.

If you did increase pressure to say 60psi. it would leave more headroom since your injectors won't be taxed out with a 100% duty cycle - basically meaning constantly open but opened and closed very quickly. higher pressure is also a good defense against vapor lock.

CAR GODS MADE THE 1.6 SOHC TO MAKE US 2.2 OHV GUYS FEEL BETTER.

What mods do you have done? On our cars, you really don't need to touch the fuel until MAYBE you've done every bolt on or open up the motor.

Example: As soon as I put in my cams, my computer started dumping a bunch of fuel and I was running rich and still am running rich untill I installed my SAFC and turned it down.

the thing that absolutely sucks about our cars is the inability to chip or tune the factory ECU. unlike hondas, we have to rely on specific fuel system tuning with FPR's, SAFC's, and even full standalones / piggyback systems like E-manage to do our tuning while Hondas can just go get a new map off the internet and have it burned with a ROM burner in a matter of minutes. but they are right, without boost, nitrous, every possible bolt on, or internal motor modifications, an fpr isn't necessary yet. however when you start looking for fuel system mods, stay away from the adjustable FPR's. now, Aeromotive makes a damn good FPR, but I've always been a fan of SAFC tuning. Just search and gather what you'd like from fuel system information.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
