Can anyone help me? I want to install a 2.3L Quad 4 H.O. Engine in a 95 sunfire gt . Is it easyer to put a Beretta GTZ heads, cams,pulleys,intake on. Or is it easyer to but a GTZ engine in. Either way will the stock tranny in the Sunfire gt bolt up and is there anything I need to buy for the ECU because I dont want to do this and it dont run. Also for me to this conversion I need to sell my Sunfire I got now so I can buy my friends 95. If your interested read my profile its a NICE CAR and email me for pics and cost.

your motor is basicly a mix between the 2.3 and 2.4. So you would probably be better off with just swaping in a HO motor from an older car.

swap the HO motor. it's a direct fit and all you need is a chip and your set.
^ what they said. the 95 2.3 block and rotating assembly is the problem with that year. buuuuuuut if you do some research on the Quad 4 HO and the W41, I can tell you where a perfectly good W41 rests for sale with 79k miles on it, runs perfect.

im assuming you have a manual to start. i would say get that trans from the donor car as well.. the isuzu wont hold up well..

Ok ... I guess ill buy a GTZ engine and 5 speed tranny since the trannys dont hold up well. With the GTZ tranny plugs be the same and will I have to make engine,tranny, mounts or will it just bolt right up. Thanks for everyones help
If I put the 2.3 H.O. in the sunfire.. is there any Ingition upgrades? Like MSD performance. Is there a performance chip for a 2.3 H.O like Jet or Venom? Also when I put the 2.3 H.O. engine and a GTZ tranny will I need to make any tranny or engine mounts or is everything a direct bolt up?
You have a few choice of chip for the 2.3.
Only thing that most people don't know is that unless you have a 3.1 or bigger(in the Gm family) you won't gain more than 2-3hp with the chip. You can buy a W41 chip from mantapart, you can find an Scx ecm and swap it, you can use the 90 2.3 Ecm, You can "try" to find a Bilmar chip. Jet and Venom are POS. The Jet chip in the 2.3 ecm don't do anything else than make you loose power and waste money.
You'll be fine with the Ho chip if you don't modify the engine. If you go with W41 cams and higer compression, you'll want the W41 chip. either a 92 Scx or Mantapart chip.
