exhaust issues...help, please.

hey guys..thanks before hand for the info.

1-Not to sound like a newbie, but for a 2.5 inch cat outlet with a 2.25 inch reducer to a 2.25 cat back pipe, what size resonator should I get t? I am running a mufflerless exhaust, and on top of that, had my friend bend it to a side-exit....and am juuuuust about deaf now. Figure a resonator might help a bit. Would a 2.5 icnh inlet/outlet be the right size? That is just about the only universal one I found..any one had any good experiences with the "ultra quiet" Vibrant brand?

2-I am constantly throwing a cel. I had it tested, and it comes up as the upstream o2 sensor. So I changed it, and reset the ecu with a battery kill for an hour. Car was ok..for 500 miles. cel again. scan tooled it again..same thing. changed it AGAIN....now another cel!

Any idea what could be causing the problem? Hell, it could be a number of things...any good techs here, take a look at my mods in my profile...maybe might give ya a clue...only thing I think it might be is either the relocated iat...I recently changed my plugs and wires, and noticed the number 4 plug has oil on it....maybe I killed one of my rings, and thats what is fouling the sensor?

Any help with the 2 above ?s would be greatly appreciated...i wanna order that resonator, ASAP, before I get a noise ticket. thanks!

I would suggest getting a 26" Magnaflow Magnapack, if you really want it to make a difference in the noise level. I got mine from www.performancepeddler.com for about $65 with free shipping. It should fit nicely between the cat and the first bend in the exhaust. About the CEL, did you accidentally cross a wire replacing the sensor? The only other thing I could think of is maybe you got a faulty new o2 sensor, because I know that it happens. If you can't figure it out, I'd take it to the local Chevy dealership, and see what they can figure out whats going on.
