wires

How hard is it to change spark plug wires. Have a 1996 2.2 cavalier. Its just that i wonder how i get back to where the distributor is to take off old wires and put on new. Do i have to go from underneath or what. Reason why i want to do it myself is because all the shops have the newer car lifts the ones you drive up on. My car is way to low so it won't go up the ramps. have a shop about an hour away who has the lifts where you drive over top the lift and then bring the braces around the wheels. I just don't want to drive 2hours back and fourth for just wires. Any suggestions.

Its easy, just follow the wires back and you'll get to the coil pack. Only replace one at a time so you don't mess up the firing order.

it's a bitch but about a 15 or 20 minute job. pull the boots off your spark plugs, pull the first wire, match it to length of new wire, replace on coil, repeat repeat etc. it's easiest do to it from underneath. you can't see what you are doing but you can't get it from the top either. good luck man.
