2.3 TB on 2200

well I got this 2.3 TB from a junkyard for $50. It bolts right up to my 2200 but the idle is way to high! Does anyone that did this swap know what to do? The TB is from a 95 Sunfire (not sure if it was a GT or not)

the tb bracket you have is holding your throttle open to much which is causing the high idle. is that the bracket that came with the 2.3.i used the tb bracket and cable from the 2.3. what i had to to is turn the tb bracket around so it wouldnt hold the throttle open. the bracket was to high compared to the orignal one. im sure i just confused you but i dont have pics. sorry hopefully someone else might help to

I bought the same thing (56mm) to use on my 2001 2200. From the faq above, it's supposed to be a bolt on: "Supposedly the 2.3TB fits a 2200 with no mods".

i didnt have to do any mods. just the throttle where the cable hooks on it is in a different spot so you need to use the 2.3 bracket. its easy to do took me like 30-45 min

I did use the 2.3 TB bracket but I must need to grind offa little of the bracket to stop it from opening up when I tighten the bolts. at any rate I put the sunfire one up for auction and I am wondering if I might have better luck with a cavy TB?

I understand, but is there a 2.3 TB that with 4 bolt holes that will bolt right up? the sunfire one only has 2 bolts. What years of the cavy had a 2.3 TB ?
