I have a 2002 Ecotec 2.2 and today I took off the top half of the STOCK airbox cover along w/ the s tube that is connected w/ the airbox and just left the bottom half of the airbox in with my oem K&N air filter in there and then I went to Auto Zone and bought a cone filter and I just Bolted on the cone filter right next to sensors.............so my question is....Is it a good idea? Does it work okay? I know it's pretty ghetto......but I just got my transmission fixed.......and the reason I did this also is b/c once a problem pops up and I need to take it to the dealer...I can just quickly put the stock back on.......Thanx!!!!!!!!

just buy an intake. an intake wont void your warrenty
