does anyone make these for an automatic. i can't find it anywhere. just wondering
New sig in the works
automatic cars dont have a flywheel. they have a flexplate and a torque converter. thats why you arent finding them.

"What are we going to do tonight?"
"The same thing we do every night, try to make the SVC go faster!"
Another question. A flex plate and a flywheel look close to the same to me, at least on other makes of cars I have seen. What is the difference? Besides not having holes drilled to bolt it to the torque converter on the flywheel, they seem the same to me.

What day is it again?.... I don't sleep enough.....
they do look fairly close
New sig in the works
they are nowhere near close
manual trans..... there is a flywheel attacheched to the engine, then the clutch disk is attached to the trans, and preassure plate the squeezes the to together, a flyhweel has a machined surface that the clutch disc will grab on to and alos is drilled and tapped for the flex plate to bolt to the flywheel
auto trans.... there is a flex plate attached to the engine, and a torque converter attached to the trans, there are 3 bolts that hold the torque converter to the flexplate, thats its only purpose, the torque convert works through fluid tranfer, its 3 pieces totlaled but they are sealed, flex plate just makes the torguw converter fit the engine, kind like a bellhousing so to attach a trans to an engine
I hope that makes sence I'm drunk
thanks for the info.
