i have a 96 Sunfire 2.2 L. i got a ram air intake. the iat sensor's wires isn;t long enough to fit into the hole for it. so are they simple wires that i can cut and extend, or what? riht now its running with the IAT off, and the little knob where the silicon hose extends off the top of the engine into the intake tube is off also. what ido i need to fix? do i need to extend the iat so the ecu sees the extra air flow, or what?

Just splice a length of wire in there you'll be fine. Soldier the wire for best results, or just use the crimp connectors.
alright man. thanks, thats all i was wonderin. I prolly wouldn't even have asked, but i was trying to extend some video out wires fo rmy xbox, and they were like 2 or 3 component wires on teh inside, and i didn't wanna f up my IAT, cause there goes my engine till i can get a professional to fix dat shiiit. if its simple copper wire, thats no prob whatsoever. yay! p.s. Frank Marek is a moron!
