I have a 97 z24 and its been really shuttering lately.
it happens when the car is at idle speed around 1000rpm or lower.
when i give it some gas and bring it up to about 1400 rpm the shutter goes away
i just replaced my spark plugs and that didnt seem to be the problem.
the other day my car was running at idle for about 10 minutes and it got soo bad it almost stalled out. and the check engine light came on for about 2 minutes.
I thought it might be a head ghasket problem because my exhaust makes a bit of a popping sound. I know my muffler @!#$ ready to go so im not sure if that has anything to do witht he engine or not.
when driving the car, it runs great, and pulls hard, this problem is just at low RPM
any help on this issue would be great !!!!!
It might be a vacuum line leak. My 98 Z did the same thing. Found a leaky line on the TB.
98 Z24

RIP Specks
Try cleaning the throttle body. If it doesnt fix it, it WILL help.
Speed costs... How fast ya wanna go??
