trust me... my battery is fine, so is my alternator and starter.... they all work flawlessly.... i had a comp stereo system in it and they never crapped on me... i think it has somthing to do with my maf.... the car turns over but then dies out after a second or two... through summer no probs... it did this last winter too

Are you just trying to start it and drive away right away, or are you letting it warm up first?

im still going to say battery cause if your running a system you might not be getting enough cold amps to start your car... i know, happened to me. so i say get a yellow top optima and take care of that problem... unless you already have a yellow top if so im not sure.

sounds more like your having a theft problem then if the light comes on

this need to be in the maitenence fourm though , not in performance

you might do a compression test on all four cylinders. engines with very poor compression won't run in cold weather, but as temperatures rise, so will cylinder pressure, allowing your engine to run. if your problem isn't spark, and it's not fuel, try doing a compression test.

a car that runs normal during warm weather and not at all in cold weather has these kinds of symptoms. good luck.

does it have a cold air system on it? if so, it may not be getting enough fuel for how much air its getting. try changing it back. ive seen this happen b4, i swear. and on the cars it happened....other cars like it with the same cold air ,etc were not affected! its a per-car basis thing i gess. dont dont be an *** by saying "well my bud has a 20** cav with the same parts, and HIS car is fine"!

The IAT sensor basically takes away that issue. But with that said, check your IAT.

Surely 97 cavie's right.

If the theft light is coming on the injectors are shut off after 2-3 seconds! and no more fuel is delivered.

It's just that your problem is intermittant

ok, if yout theft light is flashing, chances are its your cluster or your PCM.

it could either be a hard part problem, or a wiring problem, when u have it running take it to a GM garage, and see if they can reflash your PCM to match up with the ANTI-THEFT in your cluster.
