2001 Z24 5Speed 55,XXX miles.

This happened right after a few easy launches, and wide open throttle pulls on the street... I pushed the car hard, but nothing out of the ordinary..

Anyways, now between idle, and 1500 RPMs there is very little noise, above that, you heard a clicking coming from the engine and the tempo increases/decreases with the RPMs.

I'm about 90% sure this is a problem with my heads... I had a similar sound in a 1990 Grand Prix I owned, and it turned out to be a bent push rod if I remember correctly.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

And if it is in fact the heads, How hard is it to do myself, what would parts cost, and what would it run me to have a shop do?
