normally my 97 sunfire gt idles at about 1100rpm's,and its been at about 1500-2000 for the past 2 or 3 days,just wondering if anybody can help me out,and also some fluid under the hood is been sprayin up onto the under side of my hood and where my strut tower brace is cant seem to find what it is,thinkin its my power steering pump but not sure, any suggestions would be helpful,thanks.

My 96 GT (2.4) idles @ 800 rpm. Check for a vacuum leak (hoses and/or gaskets). Not sure about the spray, could be from any pressurized hose. Check to make sure all caps are on tight, then check for pin holes in hoses. Good luck.

could be the sensor on the throttle

Need to reprogram Idle in the computer. I've this problem under warranty. At dealer or garage who can reprogram with a "OBDII tool".
