Greasing the strut bearings

I'm getting ready to replace the strut bearings on both sides of my '00 Cavalier. Do you guys recommend putting a little dab of moly grease on the bearing surface during assembly? I've wondered if that will just collect grit and make it wear out faster.

A side note, it's kind of interesting that the part suppliers make a note that the bearing replacements are 2nd generation design.

When i was lowering my 97- I left the front strut assembly laying on it's side in my garage- and ran inside to do something real quick.... Came back out- and the bearings all rolled out..

Scooped them up in a magnetic bowl, cleaned them w/ brake cleaner- and greased up the bearing run in the mount & layed some grease on the bearings after I put them all back...

Its been a few years now w/ no problems... I would grease them.
