I have a problem that I do not know if I was told correctly about. I am having problems with my car reading HOT!!!!260 Degrees HOT! I had a shop use a laser temp reader, and my motor never got over 210 anywhere. Does this mean that my head is cracked? Or is it my water pump? Or is it something else? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Hm...water boils around 220 or so...and we raise that boiling point by adding antifreeze. it COULD be a bad guage or a bad sensor if youre SURE youre not really overheating.
if you are, the usual suspects are thermostat, clogged radiator or line, water pump.
typically, a water pump failing will "weep" or "pee" out a drain hole on its underside, youd never notice it as the engine will evaporate it faster than you can see the drip. If you know what evaporated car water looks like, look under there for that.
a clogged radiator or jacket, a power flush will show that or cure it.
a thermostat, you start the car cold with the radiator cap off, and start the car and watch, and wait...when (if...) the thermostat opens, you can see the coolant start to flow.
if you recently changed antifreeze, some cars need "burped" when you add the coolant. Theres a air pocket preventing the system from having flow. You fill it up to the rqdiator cap, and start the car. With the cap off, the air pocket will eventually bubble out and all over the place, and you top it off and cap it, its "burped".
