synthetic or higher milage oil?

which is better. i have a 97 2.4l with about 130,000. i know synthetic is better than regular oil but is it better for my car then the oil that has a special blend for the higher milage?

yeah, i wanna know this too! is the 5k, 10k , and 15k mile oil really all its hyped up to be?

i've heard that higher mileage oil doesn't do very much. regardless, i put it in my wife's corolla with 105k on it.

i haven't heard anything about the 15k mile oil but i look at it this way...i forget to change my oil in 3k miles sometimes. i think i'd be screwed if i didn't have to think about it for 15k miles. thats a little over a year of driving, i'd completely forget...

i hear the 15k oil is thick as hell and takes a long time to rub off your fingers
