between 2k-3500 on my 05 ecotec i get a rattleing when i ahve the throttle wide open. my car only has like 3500 miles on it and i am not sure what is causing it. the only thing done to the engine at this point is a removed the "bong" in the fender but that has been out for a month or so and this has just started happening in the past week..........

Could be a heatshield up against the exhaust somewhere....Can't really know unless I heard it though!!!

rattling noise? could possibly be the legendary getrag growl?

^^^ i was about ready to say that... there is a 7+ page post called getrag tranny noise.... read up..

It's too high in the RPM range to be the getrag growl.

it might be a bit below 2500 or 3000 but now that uyou guys say that i guess that is what it is.

I just got the exact same noise!!!! What the hell is it??? bad half-shafts i hope. Rather that than trans.
