My ebrake hardly holds...i have to pull it all the way up and even then it just barely holds the car...also i can have my ebrake up and go in reverse with no problem... so what is wrong with it? and how do i fix it?

You probably need some pads or your brake is way out of adjustment. Do a couple reverse stops from 20 mph and that should make sure that your brake is adjusted. If you still have the problem, pop the drum off and inspect your pads.

ok ... under the drum are shoes, not pads.

The star adjuster works like crap on these cars. reversing and stopping will only adjust a little.

Take off your drum and adjust manually. there isnt a window to adjust with the drum on in these cars.

You will prolly have to adjust every few thousand miles

Did you try backing up and stopping like I suggested?

Anyways, if that doesn't work you should manually inspect your shoes. Pull the drum off and make sure you have pleanty of shoe left. If you do, then you can manually adjust a star shaped gear in there to push the shoes out farther. Run them out and test fit the drum untill they rub the drum and then back it off a couple notches.

take off the drum.. on the bottom of the thing.. in between the shoes on the bottom you will see a gear.. its the only gear.. turn it with ur finger (it will only turn one way).. keep turning it little by little put yyour drum on to the point u can BARELY turn the wheel. keep adjusting until when you go to spin the wheel with the drum on it barely wants to turn it will work great
