alright so i just finished taking out the entire interior, i go to start my car it fires great the dies seconds after, i cant get it to run, im thinking it has to be fuel related. i must have pulled a wire out when i was taking the interior out or something, ichecked and they all seem good. any suggestions

my friends car did this when we messed with his intake (focus) but yea if you have no gauges how do u know if u have gas?.. simple thing get a gallon or so of gas and add it.. then go from there. just get the cluster and plug it in hold it if u have to see if u get any lights. then maybe some more serious problems .. fuel pump ect.. just dont ingore the obvious

In the fuel pump electrical circuit:-

(1) The initial powering of the fuel pump RELAY for 2 OR 3 SECONDS at STARTUP is a +12volt pulse from the ECM.

(2) If the OIL pressure increases enough to close the OIL PRESSURE switch contacts these supply the +12volts from the FUEL PUMP fuse.

This is the normal running supply, (2), so if you loose oil pressure the fuel pump stops and stops the engine.

You can check to verify you have power at the FUEL PUMP TEST CONNECTOR in the engine bay, if it's only there for 2-3 secs, you have a fault in circuit (2)/bad relay even bad fuel pump fuse as the 2-3 sec power comes directly from the ECM

I only have info to 1994, so if you don't have the same system in a 1998 I apologize and ignore this whole post.

Hope it helps

just plug in the cluster its not that hard and see if the theft light comes on look at all check the 3 ribbon cable coming off the ignition this your passlock wires should be a yellow white and black.. or 3 black ones.. make sure there all connected and covered.. follow the 3 wires to the ignitoon harness make sure the socket is plugged in
