I have a 2000 sunfire with 140 000 kms and it began smoking. Blue smoke yes so i know its oil. It only smokes a bit when the motor is cold and you hammer the gas. I know i shouldn't rev it when its cold but im a firefighter so i have to leave quickly. On average it used 3/4 of a liter of oil between oil changes. My question is how big of a job is it to do a ring job considering it a double over head cam? Should a bother doing it or maybe try another oil? it doesn't bother me right now, but like any other problem it will just get worse with time i assume. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
