my cel came on a few weeks back and i took it to work and had them pull the code and it was i think p042 and or the rear catalyst. i am just assuming that it is the rear o2 sensor. i had him clear the code and i drove about another 4-500 miles then it came back on. i am just wondering if i should just replace the o2 sensor or get an o2 simulator just in case it is the cat converter.... any help would be great. also if anyone has any tricks to get that thing off.... i hit it with some pb blaster and i am still having trouble getting the thing to break loose

thanks everyone so much for all of the help, its okay though i got the old one out and the new one in and everything is a go................at least i know where to go the next time i need any type of maintence help with my car
